When filing a set component HTS, CBP only accepts transmissions with a certain HTS order. This guide will show you how to properly file a set HTS without receiving a rejection like the below:

Header and components need to be added each as a line.

If applicable, 99 HTS goes first and then 1-97 HTS needs to be entered as multi HTS as shown below.

Header line needs to have set indicator SPI “X” applied to both HTS 99-98 (if applicable) and 1-97 HTS.

Component line(s) have to set indicator SPI “V” on both HTS 99-98 and 1-97 HTS.
