Warehouse Charges Updates

Warehouse Charges Updates

As we work towards the automation of charges, some new features are being added to the Charges tab in Traffics, Receipts, Dispatches, and Picks.

  • Charges new fields:

    • Unit Price (Rate), Quantity, and Amount: The new update has made the Amount field a calculated field. It is now calculated based on the Quantity and the Unit Price that has been registered.

    • Measurement: This field will allow us to set from where to get the Quantity field. New types on measurements can be added to get the Quantity from places like LP Quanity, Gross Weight, Amount of Days, etc. Contact support@imexsol.com for further requests.

    • MaxAmount and MinAmount: Even though we are calculating the Amount, sometime we may define a minimum amount or maximum amount that our customer will be charged. This field let us define a limit range on the calculations made by the other fields, allowing us to have more control.

This changes are one of the iterations that will allow IMEXSOL get you the following features soon.

  • Charge Automation: We are working on providing a way for you to determine what Charges will *always* be added to a Document depending on certain conditions. Allowing you to specify specific rates for special customers, rates depending on the Warehouse used, etc.

This example shows that for every Entry created for this customer, if the Warehouse is LaredoWharehouse1, a Restacking & Palletizing charge will be added with a unit price of $50

  • Charges and Invoice Lines: Up until now, a Charge has been a way to register what we expect to Invoice our Customer per service. Being the “draft“ of an invoice we will end up making. With further updates, an Invoice Line will always have a relationship to a Charge, giving us more consistent data for reporting.
